If of interest, below is a link for an FIC/NIH award solicitation to support research training related to NCDs. Institutions in low- and middle income countries are eligible to apply directly, or in partnership with US institutions.
Eligible fields of activity include cancer, cardio and cerebrovascular disease and stroke, chronic lung disease, diabetes, mental illness, neurological disorders, substance abuse, genetic, metabolic and developmental disorders.
Among other priorities, research training is encouraged that emphasizes lifecycle studies and early life determinants of chronic diseases (including genetic, epigenetic, environmental and lifestyle factors), co-morbid conditions and common risk factors and interventions relevant to multiple conditions and their prevention.
Given the Center's regional priorities, we especially seek proposals from institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The receipt date for letters on intent for the first cycle of awards is October 2, with an application due date of Nov. 2
My goal is to try to create my very own project since there aren't any decent jobs available to choose from.
Could any one provide any hints or sites about how to get government grant money to set up my own small business? I have been looking on the web but almost every web-site asks for money and I have already been told by the unemployment office to avoid the sites that request money for grant info because they're scammers. I'd personally be really grateful for any help.
